Wed. 1/20 - Test on functions of skeltal system and scientific names of the bones.
Thurs. 1/21 - Discusss the types of joints, ligaments, and the formation of bone from cartilage.
Fri. 1/22 - Short test on Thurs. notes.

Tues. 1/5 - Prepare folder cover for the 3rd 9 weeks.
Wed. 1/6 & Thurs. 1/7 - Begin discussion of the muscular system . Read pages 598 -603.
- Activities - 1.)Tape fingers and perform simple tasks, showing difficulty in skeletal/muscular usage. 2.) Raise and lower arm continuously without stopping, showing how muscles tire and could possibly stop working by continuously contracting and not allowing them to relax.
- Discusss function of muscular system, types of muscles (voluntary and involuntary, skeletal, smooth, and cardiac), how skeletal muscles work together in pairs for movement, and atrophy of muscles.
